Patient navigators are specially trained health care workers who can help and support you on your breast cancer journey. They can help you steer through the maze of doctors' offices, clinics, hospital, insurance and payment systems, and other parts of the health care system.
They may also be able to help with are planning appointments, communicating with your caregivers, arranging for translation, helping you find financial assistance, and assisting with paperwork. Nurse navigators may also help patients understand unfamiliar terms and treatment options.
